Shiny Pink Christmas

Good evening all

It's going to be a bit mad of the next couple of days.  I have had a colleague go sick tomorrow morning, so I am having to go into work at 4am, get as much done as I can and then go straight to London for a university open day with my son.  It was suppose to be my day off.

This card I did manage to get finish them morning just before I went to work.  It is a Christmas card but I decided to go for a very bright pink colour theme rather then the usual Christmas colours.

For the background, I have backed a piece of white card stock with a double sided adhesive sheet and covered with Glamour Dust.

Next, I have cut the Spellbinders Holiday Greetings from bright pink Centura Pearl card stock and again, backed with with a double sided adhesive sheet so the Glamour Dust shows through the pattern of the die cut.  This has been mounted onto silver mirror card and placed into the centre of the background.

I have made a bright pink snowflake using the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Lace die set.  I have cut out two, layered them together and placed a stamen from the Arianna Blooms die set, cut from silver mirror card.  Into the centre of this snowflake, I have added a pink pearl brad.

To finish, I have added a banner across the bottom with the sentiment "Merry Christmas From Our House To Yours".

Vintage Blue

Good evening all

My card today has been made with a vintage theme in mind.  The image is a digital stamp from Saturated Canary and the colours are brown, blue and red.

I have started with a square piece of white card stock with a distressed edge and embossed it using the Die'sire Embossalicious Rose Vine embossing folder.  The edges have been inked using the Adirondack Earthtones Espresso ink pad and this is then layered onto brown card stock, again with a distressed edge.

Next, I printed off two different patterned digital papers, distress the edges and layered these onto the embossed background.  Then I have cut one panel of blue card and one panel of Burgundy and again distressed the edges.

The digital stamp has been coloured using ProMarkers and I have distressed the edges to match the background layers.  I have then used Stampendous Frantage Shabby White embossing enamel around the edges of the image and added pearls to her hair with Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue.

I have made the flowers using the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms stamp and die set.  I have stamped the petals onto white card using the espresso ink pad and coloured them red using the Momento Rhubarb Stalk ink pad.  Next, I have shaped and layered them together and added white pearl beads to the centre of each flower.

Pumpkin Pretty

Good evening all

I have gone back to my roots for today's card.  The image is a digital stamp from Saturated Canary which I have coloured using ProMarkers.  The card has been made in autumn colours.

I have started by printing off a patterned digital paper.  I have softy inked around the edges using the Adirondack Earthtones Espresso ink pad and mounted it onto red card stock leaving a small border around the edge.

Next, I have cut out two triangles from orange card stock and embossed them using the Die'sire Embossalicious Grande Dots embossing folder from Crafters Companion.  I have inked around the edges using the same ink pad and again, mounted them onto red card.

I have inked around the edges of the digital stamp to soften and glittered her shoes with Glamour Dust.  I have also added Daughter using the Tattered Lace Family Sentiments die set.

The orange flowers have been made using the Spellbinders D-Lites Blooms One.  I have cut out two of the smallest petals, shaped and layered together.  In the centre, I have added red seed beads using Pinflair glue.

The red flower has been made using the Spellbinders D-Lites Blooms Four.  I have cut out two of the smallest petals, shaped and layered together.  In the centre, I have added silver seed beads.

Along with the flowers, I have cut out one of the Spellbinders D-Lites Corner Sprigs.

To finish the card, three red flat back pearls have been placed in the top left had corner.

Golden Birthday Wishes

Good evening all

I have been on a spending spree today.  Now that I have got 6 months as a Guest Designer, I figured that a new camera was needed, so £100 later and hopefully my pictures are looking better.

These are the first photos that I have taken and yes I do need a lot of practise, but I will get there in the end.

This card has been made for Oyster Stamps.  They only expect one card a month from me, but I thought I would give them the choice of a few.  My confidence to still quiet low when it comes to the cards I make.

I have chosen white and gold as the colour theme and decided on Birthday Wishes for Mum.

Using the Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders Two die set, I have cut a border on the bottom of a piece of A5 gold Centura Pearl card.  Next, I have done the same on a slightly smaller piece of white card and layered these together.

I have then cut out a oval aperture from white card using my Cameo Silhouette and embossed this using the Spellbinders Diamond Fleur De Lis embossing folder.  From the same white card, I have cut out the French Harmony Spellbinders die, placed this behind the aperture and mounted onto gold Centura Pearl.

Into the centre, I have placed an oval with the sentiment "Birthday Wishes Mum".

The flower has been made using the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms.  I have stamp onto white vellum using Perfect Medium and heat embossed with Heat It Up Gold Tinsel embossing powder.  This has then been cut out using the matching die, coloured with ProMarkers, shaped and layered together to form one large flower.

This flower has then been layered onto a gold organza bow and a white feather has been placed up the side of the card.

To finish, I have added tiny gold gemstones around the aperture and in the bottom corners of the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Pink And Glittery

Good evening all

Just a quick post tonight as I have an early start at work tomorrow.  This is my first card as a Guest Designer for Oyster Stamps, my local craft store.  I am still a little dazed by the fact that they liked my cards.

This one has been made using one of the new Spellbinders dies called French Harmony.

Using the Honey Doo Crafts Flourish stamp and the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Worn Lipstick ink pad, I have stamped around the edges of a square piece of white card stock.  Next, I have inked around the edges using the same ink pad and mounted it onto blue card stock leaving a small border around the edge.  This forms the main background of my card.

Next, I have embossed a smaller piece of white card stock using the Spellbinders Quilted Delight embossing folder and again mounted onto blue card stock.

To make the glittery centre piece, I have cut out the Spellbinders French Harmony die from white card stock backed with a double sided adhesive sheet and covered with Glamour Dust.  Next I have mounted this onto the same blue card.

The flowers have been made using the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms.  I have stamped the smallest flowers onto white card using Perfect Medium, heat embossed with Wow Opaque Bright White embossing powder and cut out using the matching die.

I have added colour to the ends of each petal using the Worn Lipstick Distress Ink pad, shaped and layered them to form five small flowers.  Into the centre of each flower, I have glue small pink pearl beads using Pinflair glue.

To finish the card, I have added small pink gemstones.

60 Today

Good evening all

The card that I have made today is an order from my regular customer.  It was very short notice but as she orders some many off me, I didn't want to let her down.  I have had to go with a very easy and quick theme.

Using my Cameo Silhouette, I have cut an oval aperture in the centre of a square piece of white card stock.  Next, I have embossed this using the Die'sire Embossalicious Seasonal Music embossing folder from Crafters Companion.  The edges have then been inked with the Adirondack Earthtones Espresso ink pad and it has been mounted onto red card stock and brown card.

Again, using my Cameo, I have cut out 60 from white card, embossed with the same embossing folder and layered onto the same red card.  This has been placed into aperture of the card.

The sentiment has been printed from my computer, cut into a banner and layered onto red card.  I have bowed the sentiment to give dimension.

I have found some stars in my crafty stash, covered them in the red card and inked the edges with the same espresso ink pad to tie them into the rest of the card.

To finish, I have added red flat back pearls to the top corners of the background.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Birthday Flowers

Good evening all

That was a long day at work today, we have our yearly stocktake on Tuesday so it's all been about preparation.

This card I finished late last night.  It's one of three which I am hoping to use as my application for a Design Team at my local craft store.

I have taken a square piece of white card stock, inked around the edges using a Adirondack Earthtones Espresso ink pad and mounted it onto brown card stock.

Next, with the same ink pad, I have stamped the Honey Doo Crafts Flourish stamp across the white card.

All of the flowers have been made using the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms set.  Each petal has been stamped onto white card using the same espresso ink pad.  Next, I have added colour using the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Victorian Velvet ink pad.

Each petal has been shaped and glued together to form different sizes and shapes and into the centre of some of the flowers, I have added brown glitter stamen.  To finish the flowers, I have used Glamour Dust around each petal.

Using the Spellbinders Reflective Moment die set, I have cut out the smallest from brown card.  Next, I have printed a Birthday Wishes sentiment from my computer and layered this into the centre of this die cut.

To finish the card, I have added some brown flat back pearls into the corner of the background and on the sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday - Sketch #263

Butterflies And Peaches

Good evening all

I have had a nice relaxing day today, this morning I went to my weekly crafting group and this afternoon I finished my housework.

This card is what I made this morning.  The image is from Mo Manning and can be purchased as a rubber stamp from Oyster Stamps or a digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I have imported the digital image into my graphic program and added the sentiment "Like the Butterfly spread your wings and fly".  This has then been printed out onto white card stock and cut to size and layered onto orange card stock leaving a small border around the edge.

I have coloured the digital stamp with ProMarkers in the colours of orange and blue.

The flowers have been made using the Spellbinders D-Lites Blooms Two.  For each flower I have cut out three layers from orange card, shaped them and glued together.  In the centre of each flower I have added white pearl beads.

I have then cut out two sprigs from blue card stock using the Spellbinders Corner Sprigs die set and added theses to the flowers.

To finish the card, I have added two crystal hat pins and three blue flat back pearls in the top right hand corner.
