Double Christening

Good evening all

I have been asked to make a Christening Card by a colleague at work.  I thought, that's OK until she gave me all of the details.  It's for her baby Niece and her Nephew who is 8 years old.  Not as easy as I thought.

Anyway, this is what I came up with.  It's a Triple Easel card and I have gone for a white and silver theme.

The base card is made from a sheet of white A4 Centura Pearl and has been cut and folded into a Triple Easel.

Each panel of the easel has been made using the Spellbinders Captivating Squares die set.  I have cut 3 of the largest die from Silver Mirror card.  Next I have layered a panel of white Centura Pearl into the centre of these die cuts.  I have then cut 2 of the next size down, again from Silver Mirror card and layered onto 2 of the larger die cuts.  On these two, I have printed from the computer, the names of the children being christened and placed these into the centre.

For the centre panel, I have used my Cameo Silhouette to cut a large cross from Silver Mirror card and a smaller cross from white Centura Pearl.  These have been layered onto each other with flat back pearls added and then placed onto the centre panel.

For the base, I have taken a piece of the white Centura Pearl card and embossed it with an embossing folder.  This has then been layered onto Silver Mirror card and white satin ribbon has been wrapped around it.  A little bow made from the satin ribbon has been placed in the centre to give a little interest.

To finish, I have added the sentiment "On Your Christening Day" onto a Silver Mirror card die cut which has been cut using the Spellbinders Reflective Moment die set.  This has been added to the base with foam tape to add as a stopper for the centre panel.  I have also added two flat back pearls to act as stoppers for the outside easel panels.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Eureka Stamps - No Square Cards
The Diva's That Cut - Let's Emboss It
Creative Knockouts - Texturize It
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes

That's all for now, hope you all have a fab weekend.

Engagement

Good evening all

Today's card is another request from my cousin.  She has a little job babysitting for a same sex couple.  They have decided to get engaged and she has asked for a card to give them.  I have never done a card like this so hopefully it is suitable and she likes it.

I have started by embossing a square piece of white card stock with an embossing folder.  This has been layered onto silver Centura Pearl card and then onto black card stock.  Next I have taken a panel of the white card and embossed it with a Spellbinders Hearts embossing folder.  Using the Memento London Fog Ink Pad, I have added soft colouring to the embossing so that it shows up more.  This panel has been layered up the same as the background.

Using a the Spellbinders Nestabilities Circle dies, I have cut the largest size from white card which has the sentiment "Congratulations On Your Engagement" printed on it.  I have then layered this up to match the backgrounds.

The to images are digital stamps from Time For Tea Designs.  I have printed out two, coloured them in using ProMarkers and cut them out.  They have then been placed either side of the sentiment using Pinflair Glue.

Silver thread has been wrapped around the background and a heart placed on top.  The heart has been cut out on the Cameo Silhouette using a free cutting file from Birds Cards.

To finish, I have added black flat back pearls in each of the corners on the background.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Hanna And Friends - Clean And Simple

Vintage Mother

Good evening all

I received a message last night from my cousin asking if I could make her a Mother's Day card.  The problem with this is that it has to be posted and I am at work all week, leaving very little time.  I should be more prepared for this, as she always leaves it to the last minute to order from me.

Anyway, I have spent my afternoon off making this for her, I hope she likes it.  I have used the colour theme of brown and blue in a vintage style.

I have started with a square piece of white card stock and embossed it using the Die'sire Embossalicious Regency Swirls embossing folder.  This has then been inked using the Adirondack Earthtones Espresso Ink Pad, I have also distressed the edges of this card to make it look older.

I have then taken a free background cutting file from Birds Cards which I have cut from brown Centura Pearl card using my Cameo Silhouette.  This has been placed over the embossed background and then both of these layered onto blue Centura Pearl.

Using the Spellbinders Majestic Labels Twenty-Five die, I have cut and embossed a large shape from the blue Centura Pearl and a small shape from white card with the sentiment "Happy Mother's Day" printed onto it.  I have then added pearls using the Cosmic Shimmer white PVA glue.

The image is a free digital stamp from Beccy's Place which I have coloured using ProMarkers, cut out and layered onto the background using Pinflair Glue for dimension.

The flowers have been made by stamping the Heartfelt Creations Sun-Kissed Fleur using the same expresso ink pad onto the blue Centura Pearl.  These were then cut out using the matching die, shaped, layered and a brown flat back pearl added to the centre.

I have also added to Sweet Juliet flowers cut from the same blue Centura Pearl, shaped and held together using a pearl brad.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Shades Of Blue

Good evening all

Just here is post another card which I have just completed.  It is an easel card for Mum with a monochromatic colour theme of blue.  I have used my new Cameo Silhouette Portrait to cut out the card base, it was a free file I found on Birds Cards, there are loads of the most fabulous free cutting files.

Using the Spellbinders Delightful Circles die set, I cut the largest from blue Centura Pearl card stock and layered this on the front of the easel card.  I then cut the next size down from plain white card stock, embossed this using a Spellbinders embossing folder and added a soft blue to the edges using an ink pad.  This was layered into the centre of the larger die cut.

From dark blue card stock, I cut banning using the Joanna Sheen Bunting Signature Die and placed it across the top of the easel card.

The image is a digital stamp from Sherri Baldy which I have coloured using ProMarkers.  I have then cut her out, placed her to the left hand side of the easel card and added tiny flat back gem stones on her dress and in her hair band to give a little bling.

The flowers have been made using the Spellbinders D-Lites Blooms Four.  For each flower, I have cut two larger petals from the blue Centura Pearl and one smaller petal from the dark blue card stock.  These have then been shaped, layered and a flat back gem added to their centre.

For the base of the easel card, I have cut out the Spellbinders Delightful Circles to match the front.  These have been layered onto a circle of dark blue card stock cut using the Cameo Silhouette.  The centre die has been glued into placed using Pinflair Glue to create a stopper for the easel.

To finish, I have added Mum to the centre, cut using the Tattered Lace Family Sentiment dies.

Summer Brights

Good afternoon everyone

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so fair and getting lots of crafting done.  This morning I have spent catching up of some of the unfinished jobs.

I have managed to get one card made this morning with the theme of a Daughters Birthday.  With all the lovely sunshine at the moment, I have chosen bright pinks, greens and lots of flowers.

I have started with a square piece of white card stock which I have embossed using the Die'sire Flower Power embossing folder.  Next using a pink ink pad, I have added colour to the edges and then layered onto a piece of green Centura Pearl card.

Next, I have taken a panel of pink Centura Pearl card and randomly stamped a floral pattern with Perfect Medium and heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Pearl Lustre embossing powder.  A piece of green ribbon has been wrapped around one corner of this pink card.

The image is a digital stamp from Sherri Baldy which I have coloured using ProMarkers and then cut her out.  To add interest, I have glued some silver seed beads to her hair and the flowers on her dress.

Next, Using the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles, I have cut the largest from the green Centura Pearl card.  I have then added a panel of white card to the centre.  The digital stamp has been layered onto this using Pinflair glue to give dimension.

For the flowers, I have stamped the Heartfelt Creations Sun-Kissed Fleur with Perfect Medium onto white card stock and heat embossed with the Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Pearl Lustre.  I have then added colour using the same pink ink pad as the background.  I have layered up four flowers and using Pinflair glue, added seed beads to the centres.  To smaller flowers have been made in the same way from the pink Centura Pearl cards.  Glitter glue has been added to the petals of the flowers.

Four of these flowers have been placed in the bottom right hand corner of the card along with some leaves cut using the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Juliet die set.  The other two have been placed in the top right hand corner of the card.

To finish the card, I have cut a Happy Birthday from pink Centura Pearl using the Whimsy Stamps Birthday Sentimentables and Daughter from green Centura Pearl using the Tattered Lace Family Sentiments.

My Bestie

Good evening all

It's been a little while since I posted last, been trying to catch on a few things at home and time has just run away with me.

Today's card has a theme of brown and green, I love these two colours together.

I have started with a square piece of white card stock and embossed it using the Die'sire Grande Dots embossing folder, I have used the Adirondack Earthtones Espresso Ink Pad to add colour.  This has then been layered onto brown Centura Pearl card.

Next I have taken a panel of patterned digital paper, layered it onto the same brown Centura Pearl and placed it on the right hand side of the background.  Brown stitch ribbon has been wrapped around the background.

Using the Cameo Silhouette, I have cut three banners, two from brown Centura Pearl and one from green Centura Pearl.  These have been placed on the left hand side of the background and three flat back gems added to the top of each one.

The digital stamp is My Bestie from Sherri Baldy.  I have coloured her using ProMarkers and layered her onto match brown Centura Pearl.  Little green flat back gems have been added in groups of three to the background of the image.  I found these little gem stones in Saver's, they are for nail act but at only 79p for a pot of different colours I had to have them and I think they work really well.

I have added a bow using a green glittered organza and brown stitched ribbon.  The glittered shaped in the middle is a brad.

To finished the card, I have added a Happy Birthday sentiment using the Whimsy Stamps Birthday Sentimentables die and a small butterfly using the Memory Box Pippi Butterfly and some more of those little flat back gems.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Glitter Girl

Evening all

Well this is the second post today,  just managed to get another card finished before I go to bed.

For this one I have decided to go for a shaped easel card in pinks and purples, very girly.

I have started by cut two of the largest dies from the Spellbinders Reflective Moment set, both from white card stock but one backed with a double sided adhesive sheet which has then been covered in loose glitter.

I have then attached the plain one to the base of the easel card and scored across the middle.  The glittered one has been glued in place to form the focal point of the easel.

I have used a digital stamp from Sherri Baldy which I have coloured using ProMarkers.  She has been cut out and layered onto the glittered front using Pinflair glue to give dimension.

The flowers have been made by stamping the Heartfelt Creation Sun-Kissed Fleur with Perfect Medium and heat embossing with Wow Clear Sparkle Embossing Glitter.  They have then been cut out using the matching die and coloured with the Picked Raspberry Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad.  The flowers are shaped and layered with a flat back pearl added to the centres.

I have also added a bow made from pink ribbon and added the smallest of the flowers in the middle.

For the base, I have taken a piece of dotty digital paper and covered the whole of the base.  I have then used the Spellbinders Captivating Squares and cut white card backed with double sided adhesive and again covered in loose glitter.  Onto to this I have layered the sentiment "You can never have enough glitter" which I have printed from my computer.  This is added as a stopper for the easel.

To finish, I have added two swirls of flat back pearls.

Out For A Walk

Good afternoon everyone

What a gorgeous day we are having in Kent, the sun is out and it's beginning to feel like summer is on its way.  I hope you are all having a nice day to.

Today's card is a Birthday card completed in the colours of brown, green and red.

I have started with a square piece of green card stock and layered onto this, some patterned digital paper.  I have then taken a panel of the same green card and added a decorative boarder using the Spellbinders Classic Triple Scallop die.  Onto this I have added a contrasting patterned digital paper and wrapped some green ribbon around it.

The digital stamp was a freebie which I picked up a long time ago.  I have so many of these that I can't remember where I got them from.  If anyone recognises this can they please let me know so I can give credit to the artist.  I have coloured them in using ProMarkers and mounted onto the same green card as the background.

I that then cut out a Happy Birthday sentiment using the Whimsy Stamps Birthday Sentimentables die and mounted this onto a Spellbinders shape.

The flowers have been made using the two solid dies from the Tattered Lace Lacy Marguerite set.  These have been cut from red card stock, shaped and glued together.  I have added a green centre to these flowers.

To finish, I have added a bow made from matching ribbon and three red flat back pearls to the top left hand side of the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Teddy Bear Love

Good evening crafters

Well today is the last day of my holiday and I have to say I have enjoyed being a lady of leisure, unfortunately the bills need to be paid.

Onto today's card which is a card for Mother's Day or can even be sent just to say I love you Mum.  I have used the colours pink and brown with a little touch of green.

I have started with a square piece of brown Centura Pearl with a boarder of pink Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue pearls.  Onto this I have layered a striped pattern digital paper.  I have then taken a piece of brown dotty digital paper and using the Spellbinders Delightful Circles, I have cut one large circle and layered this to the left hand side of the background.

A piece of white card stock has been running through an embossing folder and using the Adirondack Earthtones Espresso ink pad, I have added soft colouring around the edges.  This has then been layered onto brown Centura Pearl.

The digital stamp is called Thank You Beary Much from Tiddly Inks.  It has been coloured in using ProMarkers, cut out and layered onto the embossed white card using Pinflair glue to give dimension.

Using the Crafty Sentiments Designs Medium Rolled Flowers die, I have made three roses from pink Centura Pearl paper.  These have been added to the bottom of the die cut circle and a pink leaf swirl has been added using the Spellbinders D-Lites Sprigs die.  I have also cut from the same pink Centura Pearl, a corner sprig using the Spellbinders D-Lites Corner Sprigs.

To finish the card, I have added Mum to the top of the chair using the Tattered Lace Family Sentiments die.

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
